Bangladesh will host the 50-over version of the Men’s Asia Cup in 2027, while India will host the T20 version of the competition in 2025. India triumphed in the hybrid format 2023 Men’s Asia Cup, which was hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. It was a 50-over competition. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has released an Invitation for Expressions of Interest (IEOI) document, inviting interested organizations to submit their IEOI for ACC Sponsorship Rights for the 2024–2027 term. This paper contains information on prospective Asia Cup venues.
India have only ever hosted the Men’s Asia Cup once before, at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, when they won the competition in 1990–91. The tender document also states that there would be 13 games in each of the two next Men’s Asia Cup seasons.
The location of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup, which will take place in 2026 and include 15 matches overall, has not yet been announced. The Men’s Under-19 Asia Cup, which will take place in 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027, respectively, with 15 matches to be contested in each edition, is also included in the tender document.
Additionally, there is the Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup, which consists of 30 50-over games and an equal number of T20 matches in 2024 and 2026 (T20) and 2025 and 2027 (50-over). The Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup will be held in two editions within the tender rights cycle, with 15 matches scheduled for each in 2025 and 2027, respectively.
According to ACC’s tender document, interested companies must either have a net worth greater than USD 10 million or have an annual revenue greater than USD 15 million as of March 31, 2024. August 2, 5 p.m. Dubai time, is the deadline for EOI submissions for sponsorship rights from 2024 to 2027.
