Almost a month after helping India win the T20 World Cup in the Americas for the second time, Rohit, Kohli, and Kuldeep Yadav will be right back at it.

In advance of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka that begins on August 2, India’s captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and a few other players will begin their preparations on Monday. After arriving in the island nation’s capital on Sunday, Rohit, Kohli, and a few others, including rookie Harshit Rana, will prepare in Colombo before the Indian T20I squad captained by Suryakumar Yadav plays its third and final match on Tuesday at Pallekele.

Shreyas Iyer will also make his comeback to the national team during the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Iyer last appeared for India in a December limited-overs match against South Africa in late 2023.

Delhi all-rounder Rana, who played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League earlier this year, is also included in the squad.

Abhishek Nayar, the assistant coach for India, will instruct these players in Colombo.

This stadium, R Premadasa Stadium, will host all three of the One-Day Internationals. The second and third ODIs are scheduled for August 4 and 7, respectively, while the opening match takes place on August 2.
